A good example of what is expected of an Alpine fissure Smoky quartz, for its transparency, intense luster, and depth of color. This specimen is from Chamonix, France, and it is 5.5 x 5 x 3 cm, with the main crystal being 5 x 1.9 x 1.5 cm. The main crystal is double terminated with a rim of small crystals around it like a half-moon, very nice form. There is a minor ding on the main crystal, we should not even mention because it is so minimum, and contact areas on the side of the small rim.
BRAZARTE, worldwide fine minerals specimens since 1998.
