This piece has zing! There are at least 20 water-clear Goshenite (Beryl) crystals with brilliant luster. Then add 3 orange Scheelite crystals with vitreous luster. Then add hundreds of white, rhombohedral Calcite crystals with vitreous luster. All of this is eloquently sprinkled on a matrix of blades of silver Muscovite. The specimen glistens from all viewpoints on all sides. Museum-size: 21.3 cm (8.4-inches) in length.

Goshenite is the clear variety of Beryl. Beryl is a beryllium aluminum silicate mineral. Other varieties of Beryl include Aquamarine, Emerald, Heliodor and Red Beryl. Crystal system is Hexagonal. Hardness is 7.5 – 8 on the Mohs scale.

Scheelite is a calcium tungsten mineral. Crystal system is Tetragonal. Hardness is 4.5 – 5 on the Mohs scale.

Calcite is a calcium carbonate mineral. Crystal system is Trigonal. Hardness is 3 on the Mohs scale.

Muscovite is a variety of Mica. It is a potassium aluminum phyllosilicate mineral. Crystal system is Monoclinic. Hardness is 2.5 on the Mohs scale.
