AQUAMARINE is the sky-blue to sea-green gem variety of BERYL. This Aquamarine is blue in color, gemmy, and transparent. The specimen is terminated with excellent crystal structure. The sides are adamantine while the top is vitreous. There is minor Muscovite (Mica). The Shengus area of Pakistan is well-know for its Aquamarine and Topaz.

AQUAMARINE is the sky-blue to sea-green gem variety of Beryl. Beryl is a beryllium aluminum cyclosilicate. Other well-known varieties of Beryl are Emerald, Heliodor, Goshenite, Morganite and Red Beryl. Beryl is the state mineral of New Hampshire. Beryl occurs mainly in granitic pegmatites. Beryl is in the Hexagonal Crystal System. Hardness is 7.5 – 8 on the Mohs scale.
