A small polished turquoise cabochon in a soft sky-to-robin’s-egg blue, with lighter cloudy swirls and golden-tan matrix flecks along one edge. It’s a smooth, rounded teardrop/freeform shape with a domed glossy top and a flat dark (black) backing/base on the underside, so it’s ready to set, wire-wrap or glue into a bezel.
Stone ID (please read): the colour and matrix look like natural turquoise, and that’s our best guess, but it is UNCONFIRMED. We have not had it tested, so we can’t say whether it’s natural, stabilized or dyed. Many turquoise cabochons on the market are stabilized. Please buy it as an unconfirmed turquoise cabochon. Our inventory records list it as from Lapidary Dave of Taos, New Mexico.
It comes ready to gift in a small gold-foil display box with a Techno Tink Treasures “Turquoise Cabochon – Natural Beauty” card. Note: the stone pictured on the card is illustrative art, not this stone. The stone you receive is the one in the photos.
Folklore and metaphysical notes (for interest only, not medical or factual claims): turquoise is traditionally called a stone of protection, wisdom and good fortune. It’s carried as a travel and luck talisman, and it’s a December birthstone.
Stone: approx. 0.97 x 0.67 x 0.3 in, approx. 0.2 oz.
In the display box: approx. 1.91 x 1.28 x 0.64 in, approx. 0.4 oz. This is display packaging, not the shipping box.
Natural stones vary, and the colour may look slightly different from screen to screen.
Small item, not for children under 3. Sold as-is, no returns. See photos for details.
