Copper replacement specimen from the Nacimiento Mine in Cuba, New Mexico. This material is petrified wood/plant material replaced primarily by Chalcocite and Djurleite. The copper replacement deposits and this material itself were commercially mined in a large open pit at this location until 1975. This particular specimen displays Azurite concretions and is truly a spectacular piece that resembles a full section of a branch/log. This is a medium/large cabinet display specimen that rivals a number of pieces I have personally seen displayed in museums. Shipping included; item comes with stand and mineral i.d. card. Measures 6x4x3in.
|Dimensions||10 × 5 × 5 in|
