This lovely Orange River Quartz specimen displays well formed phantoms of Hematite growing inside the quartz. During the growth process, other trace elements, such as Hematite started to grow over the Quartz leaving a “phantom”. It becomes frozen in time when the Quartz continues grows over the added element, leaving eye catching designs.  A rare and unusual piece for any collection, especially from this location.
